Morten Duun Aarup

Morten Duun Aarup is a guitar and composer from Aarhus, Denmark. Since 2014 he has lived, studied and worked in Denmark, Sweden, Berlin, Paris and now New York City. During this time he has had the chance study with people like Kurt Rosenwinkel, Jim Black and John Hollenbeck. He has also had the chance to play with musicians like Greg Cohen, Nels Cline and David Binney. He plays music from a wide variety of styles and traditions and incorporates it all into his compositions and way of approaching improvisation. He is currently finishing his masters’ degree in jazz performance at Manhattan School of Music.
